Delete your account and data

Delete your account in the app, or request deletion by email even if you no longer have the app.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

1. Delete in the app

Open Inspectly and go to Profile → Settings & privacy → Your data.

  • If you use Inspectly without signing in, tap Delete my data. The app shows what is deleted and what is kept; confirm that unused inspection credits will be lost, then tap Delete my data. Your phone is cleared at once. If you are offline, our servers are cleared automatically the next time the app is online; until then Settings shows that the deletion is pending.
  • If you signed in with Apple or Google, tap Delete my account, then tap again to confirm. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more so we can revoke the app’s Apple sign-in token. You need an internet connection; if deletion cannot finish, the app tells you and you can try again, and we also complete it automatically.

To delete your inspections without deleting your account, tap Delete all inspections and photos under Your data and confirm. This deletes them from this phone and, the next time the app connects, deletes their cloud backups and photo copies from our servers. Your account and credit balance stay.

2. Request deletion without the app

Email support@smartharmonyai.com with the subject Inspectly account deletion request. You can do this even if you no longer have the app installed.

Inspectly does not store your name or email address, even if you signed in with Apple or Google, so we cannot find your account by email. Include the order ID and date from your App Store or Google Play receipt for an Inspectly purchase, if you made one. Say whether you want the whole account deleted or only specific data. Do not send passwords, a full card number, or a government ID.

Email a deletion request

We may ask for reasonable verification before deleting data. We will confirm the outcome or explain any limitation, and respond within applicable legal time limits. If you never bought anything, we may not be able to match a request to an account; deleting the account in the app is the reliable way. Free Essential Checks never leave your phone; uninstalling the app removes them.

3. What is deleted

  • Your customer record at RevenueCat, our purchase-validation provider (deleted first).
  • Your Inspectly account or your phone’s guest account, its Apple or Google sign-in identifiers (if any), and its device credentials.
  • Inspection backups stored on our servers.
  • Verified photo copies stored on our servers. (Original photos were never uploaded.)
  • AI analysis results and their usage records.
  • Photos prepared for an AI analysis, if any were still waiting.
  • Your credit wallet and balance, including unused inspection credits.
  • When you delete in the app: the inspections and photos on that phone, and your onboarding answers and AI analysis and cloud backup choices, which go back to their defaults; Ad measurement is turned off, and the analytics identifiers on that phone are cleared.

Deletion cannot be undone, and unused credits cannot be recovered afterwards. Export any reports you want to keep first.

4. What is kept

  • Purchase and transaction records, and records of support actions on your account, for accounting, tax, refunds and fraud prevention, for up to 7 years. Your account identifier in them is replaced by a one-way hash, and after 90 days they keep only what those purposes need. They are pseudonymised, not anonymised: someone who holds the original identifier could link them again.
  • A deletion record for 7 years: a one-way hash of your account identifier and the outcome of each deletion step, so we can show that the deletion happened.
  • Credit ledger totals that contain no account identifier.
  • App reviewer access log entries for 24 months, only if you ever submitted the “App reviewer access” form.
  • For 90 days, a one-way hash of your phone’s former device credential, so that a deletion request repeated by your phone (for example after being offline) is answered “already deleted”.
  • Database recovery copies: our database provider’s point-in-time recovery may hold deleted data for a limited period until it rolls over. We do not use it to restore deleted accounts.
  • Apple’s and Google’s own records of your purchases, which they keep under their own policies.

Not deleted by account deletion: data held under their own retention by Google Analytics (usage analytics linked to your random account identifier), Tenjin (only if Ad measurement was on; on iPhone, only with your tracking permission), PostHog (usage analytics, not linked to your account), Sentry (crash reports), and our AI providers; and Cloudflare’s server request logs. We have not yet set our own retention periods for these; see the Privacy Policy.

Reports you exported, files saved elsewhere, and reports sent to other people are not affected; delete those copies yourself. Deleting your account does not request a refund; refunds are handled by Apple or Google (see Support).

The Privacy Policy explains what we process, our service providers, and your rights. For anything else, see Support.
